Supports Project Managers and the Program Director in executing and overseeing programs to meet cost, schedule, quality, and safety goals. Coordinates cross-functional teams and external stakeholders while producing performance reports and monitoring program metrics.
Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in shipbuilding, manufacturing, or construction and a degree in Engineering, Commerce, or Project Management. Candidates should possess CAPM or be working towards PMP certification with strong communication and project software skills.
The Assistant Project Manager II plays a key role in supporting Project Managers and the Program Director in the execution, oversight, and successful delivery of assigned programs. This position assists in coordinating cross-functional internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve program objectives related to cost, schedule, quality, and safety performance.
Working within an Integrated Program Team environment, the Assistant Project Manager II collaborates closely with peers, functional specialists, and project stakeholders to drive alignment and support program success. Although the role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, it requires strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills to effectively coordinate activities and achieve project outcomes within the assigned scope.
The incumbent is expected to apply established project management methodologies and best practices while contributing to the continuous improvement and development of project management processes, standards, and capabilities across the team.

The estimated salary for this position is $99,000-$121,000. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
