In a nutshell
(Role Purpose) Support product development and delivery of Sainsbury’s Argos General Merchandise and / or Clothing product plans for all FLOW / Continuity SKUs and give additional support where needed to the UK team with new product development ensuring quality, safety, and legality.
What I need to do
• Under the oversight of Technologists ensures that Sainsbury’s Argos GM and Clothing products comply with safety, legal, and quality risk assessments. Thereby maintaining brand reputation and fulfilling due diligence requirements, for all FLOW / Continuity SKUs. • Independently manage small / low risk product areas to ensure we comply safety, legal, and quality risk assessments. • Supports UK Technologists where needed with new product development, working directly with factories to ensure product performance meet expectations and are safe, legal and fit for use. • Works with technologists to ensure technical approvals and timelines adhere to the critical path, coordinating with suppliers and global stakeholders, including product specifications and artwork approvals. • Support the Technical and Sourcing teams to select suppliers that align with technical and ethical standards and sourcing strategies. • With guidance from Technologists support regional suppliers and factories in understanding and complying with new product regulations and legislation. • Supports the Technologist with delivering technical training to ensure that all product specifications and standards are clearly communicated and adhered to. • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and updates of technical records, including appraisal documents, workbooks, policies, product standards, testing reports, and performance trackers, following company procedures and legal guidelines.
