Job Purpose
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for maintaining, developing, and improving manufacturing processes and systems to ensure operational efficiency, product quality, and consistency. This role supports production by optimizing workflows, implementing process improvements, and maintaining accurate documentation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support ROMTech’s manufacturing operations and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties
Maintain, develop, and improve manufacturing systems and processes to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency
Analyze manufacturing workflows and implement improvements to reduce waste, improve quality, and increase throughput
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, ergonomics, efficiency, and process standardization
Evaluate and validate manufacturing processes to ensure consistency and repeatability
Assist with implementation of new equipment, tooling, and manufacturing methods
Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to support equipment functionality, troubleshooting, and uptime
Create, update, standardize, and maintain Manufacturing SOPs and Work Instructions
Ensure manufacturing documentation accurately reflects current production and repair processes
Conduct process walkthroughs and validations to verify alignment between documented procedures and actual operations
Improve usability, clarity, and effectiveness of work instructions for operators and technicians
Track and manage documentation revisions, updates, and process changes in alignment with company procedures
Other Functions
Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide engineering support for production and quality initiatives
Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance-related activities as needed
Support training of operators and technicians on updated processes and documentation
Perform data collection and reporting to support operational decision-making
Performs other related duties as assigned to support operational and business needs.Qualifications

Required

Experience creating technical documentation and work instructions
Preferred
Experience with CAD/CAM software
Experience working with ERP systems
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Work Experience Requirements
Required
Experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a related field
Preferred
Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments
Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., medical device)
Education Requirements
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
