Riverbank Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated and client-focused veterinary receptionist to join our team. This position is open to candidates who bring strong transferable experience from adjacent fields, including human medical or dental offices, urgent care clinics, emergency services, or high-volume hospitality and customer service environments.
We are looking for a professional who demonstrates composure under pressure, a genuine affinity for animals, and the interpersonal skills to support clients across a wide range of experiences — including those that are emotionally demanding. Veterinary-specific knowledge is not required; comprehensive onboarding and training will be provided.

Salary: $13.00-$15.00 dependent on experience and skills
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8AM-7PM

Qualifications
Experience in a veterinary clinic, animal care facility, or medical office; familiarity with veterinary or medical terminology; or PIMS software experience (Cornerstone, Avimark, ImproMed, eVetPractice, or ezyVet) is considered a strong asset.
Located in Kinston, North Carolina, Riverbank Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary clinic dedicated to providing exceptional care for pets in the community. Led by Dr. Julie Garren, our team offers a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and dental services for small animals, including cats and dogs. We operate primarily by appointment to ensure personalized attention for each patient, while also accommodating limited daily walk-ins and emergencies. Our surgical offerings encompass routine procedures such as spaying and neutering, as well as soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries. Beyond medical care, we provide boarding services, collaborating closely with local shelters to support the well-being of all animals.
