This mission compels us to engage with people at every stage of the spiritual continuum. The Connections Minister will cultivate a disciple-making environment for first-time guests and new members to take their next step with Jesus Christ and the church.
The purpose of a Connection Minister is
Cultivate a disciple making culture for first-time guests, new members and volunteer teams.
Guide individuals toward their next step with Jesus Christ and active participation in the church.
Create a genuine sense of belonging by meeting people where they are.
Encourage involvement and spiritual growth through intentional relationships and clear pathways.
Help people find their “Together” through service or group connections.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Overall Connections Minister Responsibilities
Design and maintain processes to help guests become members of the Hills church, and help members of all ages identify their giftedness and find areas where they can serve, in the church as well as in the community.
Build ministry teams (Home Team, Safety Team) by strategically discipling and developing volunteer leaders through recruiting, training, and empowering them to fulfill roles in the Leadership Pipeline.
Create an environment that welcomes guests and provides clear next steps toward connection and spiritual growth.
Administer the ministry budget to maximize impact and ensure Christ-honoring stewardship of financial resources.
Specific DALLAS Campus Responsibilities
Coordinate DAL Campus Groups.
Coordinate Rooted Groups and Rooted facilitators.
Collaborate with the Global Groups Minister and Spiritual Formation Minister to maintain alignment with The Hills' mission, vision, and group strategies, including Rooted, Men's and Women's Groups, and Community Groups.
General Ministerial Responsibilities
Champion the mission and vision of The Hills Church.
Share in the pastoral ministry through shepherding relationships, prayer, hospital visitation, weddings, funerals, and congregational care.
Participate in staff activities and meetings.
