Job Title: Truck Driver (CDL)

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Purchasing Manager

Job Purpose: Distribute boats/products promptly to our dealers, located in any of the 48 US continental states. The driver will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
• Complete logs, reports, and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.

Qualifications:

• Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
• Valid Class A CDL
• Current DOT Physical - or willing to obtain one.
• Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
• Must possess a positive and professional attitude
• Clean driving record.
• Experience with E-Logs.
• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws in any given state in the US.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.
• Attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel during unloading/loading of boats.
• This is a safety sensitive position.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions, a normal office environment or factory environment that is not climate controlled. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The factory in certain areas maintains a high fiberglass and dust environment. 

Personal Protective Equipment might be required in certain areas of the factory including but not limited to safety glasses, respirator, hearing protection, gloves, and protective garments.

Employees in safety-sensitive positions must report to work fit for duty and must remain fit for duty throughout their workday. To be fit for duty, the employee must not be impaired by alcohol, illicit drugs, or medication.
