Position Summary:
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing marketing initiatives that support REI Engineers' brand awareness, business development efforts, recruitment initiatives, and overall strategic goals. This position independently manages day-to-day marketing activities, develops content across multiple communication channels, coordinates campaigns and events, and contributes to continuous improvement of the company's marketing strategy. The role requires creativity, strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Core Responsibilities:
Develops, coordinates, and executes marketing campaigns that support company growth, recruiting initiatives, client engagement, and brand awareness.
Creates, edits, and maintains marketing materials including brochures, presentations, advertisements, newsletters, social media content, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
Manages the company's digital presence by maintaining website content and coordinating social media platforms to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
Coordinates recruiting marketing efforts by developing content to attract qualified candidates and promote the company's employer brand.
Collaborates with business development, Human Resources, leadership, and technical staff to support marketing initiatives and company objectives.
Coordinates company participation in industry conferences, career fairs, networking events, sponsorships, and community outreach activities.
Assists with proposal development, qualification packages, award submissions, and client presentation materials.
Monitors campaign performance and marketing metrics, providing recommendations to improve effectiveness and return on investment.
Maintain brand standards across all internal and external communications and marketing materials.
Coordinates relationships with vendors, photographers, printers, advertising agencies, and marketing consultants as needed.
Maintains accurate records of marketing projects, campaign calendars, digital assets, branding guidelines, and promotional inventory.
Identifies opportunities to improve marketing processes, increase brand visibility, and strengthen client and employee engagement.
Protects confidential company, client, and employee information through responsible handling of marketing materials and business information.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge:
Working knowledge of marketing principles, branding, digital marketing, social media management, and content development.
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to independently manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
Strong understanding of brand consistency, audience engagement, and marketing best practices.
Experience coordinating events, campaigns, and promotional initiatives from planning through completion.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar graphic design platforms.
Experience in using website content management systems (CMS), social media management tools, and email marketing platforms is preferred.
Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and with external vendors.
Demonstrated creativity, initiative, accountability, and ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
Three to five years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, business development, or a related field preferred.
Experience in creating digital content, managing social media platforms, and coordinating marketing campaigns preferred.
Experience supporting marketing efforts in engineering, architecture, construction, consulting, or professional services industry is preferred.
Experience with CRM platforms, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar marketing software is a plus.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
Sitting for extended periods while using computer equipment, including a desktop or laptop computer, keyboard, mouse, and phone.
Frequent use of standard office equipment and digital communication tools.
Ability to travel by car or air to company offices, recruiting events, conferences, client meetings, or industry events as needed.
Occasional lifting and transportation of marketing displays, promotional materials, or event supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support company events, recruiting activities, or marketing deadlines.
