JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Summary
Regal Boats is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team as a Lead. Leads are responsible for supporting Team Leaders in overseeing manufacturing processes and the efficient utilization of manpower to obtain maximum efficiency, while also being hands-on in the production process.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leads within the mission of Regal and positively impacts others.
  2. Ensure that the team has the tools needed to do their job well.
  3. Actively coaches and oversees 10-15 team members.
  4. Identify problems & communicate with the Production Engineer on Bill of Materials (BOM) changes.
  5. Communicate with your Team Leader about team updates, as well as communicating the  daily schedule with production team members
  6. Advocate for process change improvements within team functions and/or production functions.
  7. Identify development opportunities for your team to grow & communicate them to your leader.
  8. Report safety issues to the Team Leader and/or the Safety Manager.
  9. Trains and motivates Team Members to achieve the highest levels of productivity and quality.
  10. Tracks team member time and attendance according to Regal's Attendance & PTO Policy.
  11. Facilitates team meetings professionally 
  12. Ensures manufacturing operations are in accordance with Regal's Safety Standards, including:
    1. Ensure that workplaces are safe and employees follow proper safety procedures
    2. Be proactive in preventing safety-related incidents
    3. Create awareness of safe behavior and teach required skills for working safely
    4. Ensure employees have the proper tools and equipment, including PPE, to work safely and prevent accidents

 

Required Qualifications

  1. Must have experience in manufacturing and working directly in production. 
  2. Must be able to support the management of labor hours to meet production rates effectively.  
  3. Must be able to conduct employee conversations to communicate expectations, performance, & disciplinary actions, in the absence of a Team Leader. 
  4. Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions as directed by the Team Leader. 
  5. Must be able to support Team Leaders in daily meetings with large teams to effectively detail recent progress, current state, and future strategy.
  6. Must follow all safety standards and procedures.
  7. Must have the ability to understand and adhere to all quality standards.
  8. Must be able to work well with Diverse teams.
  9. Must be able to support the coordination of production responsibilities to maximize productivity and deliver products on time. 
  10. Must display a dependable demeanor.
  11. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs & Sheets, and Outlook/Gmail
  12. Adheres to Regal’s Mission, Values, and Purpose
  13. Conversational English

 

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Detail-Oriented
  2. Interest in developing leadership skills
  3. Have the ability to interact and communicate with plant workers 
  4. Demonstrate a record of dependability and reliability with prior work experience. 
  5. Can aid the maneuver resources throughout the da,y as attendance or other problems arise. 
  6. Have the ability to learn and understand our Manufacturing processes. 
  7. High School Diploma and Associate's Degree 
  8. Bilingual 

 

Work Environment
Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature, reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times.

 

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10-hour days with most of the time being on their feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
