Job Description
Must be able to read construction plans and specifications.
Good communication skills.
Perform Construction Inspection duties on project assigned.
Able to direct inspectors and field staff of multiple projects.
Have basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in water/ wastewater and heavy civil construction.
Able to communicate with Clients, Contractor and Engineers.
Handle routine matters of relatively small impact on projects that are not complex or change design parameters.
Participate and/or run project meetings.
Ability to understand budgets and cost assignments.
Construction Manager Certification from CMAA or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
Willing to attend outside training – OSHA, ACI, AMPP, etc.
Assist Construction Manager with monthly reports, pay request approvals, stored materials, reviews as built drawings, and test reports.
Coordination of QC/QA Testing on the site.
Complete Daily Construction Reports and other documentation as assigned by Construction Manager.
Interact with clients. Work with client field staff during construction.
Work with contractor field crews and Project Managers during construction.
Report daily to Construction Manager and regularly to the Project Manager.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may have to work in outside weather conditions. Employee occasionally works near moving parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
Employee will be expected to pass OSHA safety course as part of training for jobsite visits unless already certified.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand up to 8 hours or more at one time, walk in rugged conditions, work in adverse weather conditions.
The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb or balance, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 125 pounds.
Noise levels in the work environment is often loud.
Perform Construction Inspection duties on projects assigned. Able to lead project inspection on single project at minimum.
Job Requirements
7 - 15 years’ experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Must understand construction surveying procedures and principles.
Responsible for keeping equipment and vehicle in good working condition and report any problems or repairs needed in a timely manner.
Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass driver background check.
Able to use Microsoft Programs and others as assigned.
Willing to Travel.
