Perform professional specimen collection including venipuncture and capillary sticks while ensuring accurate patient identification and labeling. Maintain a clean phlebotomy area and notify physicians of critical lab results while adhering to HIPAA and safety guidelines.
Requires a high school diploma and preferably 2-3 years of phlebotomy experience and completion of a phlebotomy course. Candidates must be able to handle the physical demands of the role and possess strong organizational skills.

As an experienced phlebotomist at Patient's Choice, you'll be the go-to pro for blood draws. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive excellent care, and you'll play a key role. We're looking for someone who wants to help create positive patient experiences. A typical day here includes performing the proper procedures for specimen collection. These could include Venipuncture, Capillary sticks, Urinalysis, Glucose Tolerances, and First Aid. This happens after registering the patient while interacting courteously and professionally. You should ensure the accuracy of patient identification and proper specimen labeling.
You will also be required to follow HIPAA guidelines and complete all assignments on time. We require you to display a professional attitude and personal appearance and be familiar with Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communications, and Laboratory Safety Manuals. You will know how to handle patients with adverse reactions to venipuncture and be proficient in computers and technology for data entry purposes. You should assure safety through appropriate specimen labeling and notify physicians of critical lab results. A clean and organized phlebotomy area is a must, and you may be asked to perform additional duties by a supervisor.
