The BIM/CAD Technician will develop engineering drawings for infrastructure and dry utility projects, including layouts, isometrics, and component details. They will collaborate with CAD/BIM managers and engineers to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Candidates must possess a 3-year diploma or engineering degree and at least 5 years of CAD drafting experience in infrastructure and dry utilities. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM-Civil 3D, Revit, and Navisworks is required.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM/CAD Technician to join our team! In this role you will be required to perform from basic to moderately-difficult design/drafting assignments.
Experience on infrastructure dry utilities mainly Lighting, MV, LV Power Distribution, Pumping Stations etc.
Work closely with CAD & BIM Managers and Design Leads to complete the assigned project deliverable in compliance with the required Standards and Quality.
Works with CAD & BIM Managers, Design Leads and Engineers to develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component details from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures, and to ensure timely completion.
Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards, in accordance to company QA/QC process.
Good knowledge in content creation and able to create different types of parametric and non-parametric families.
Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Candidates with knowledge on local authority electricity standards and regulations (DEWA, SEWA, Etihad WE, DM etc.) are preferred.
3-Years Diploma (preferably with Equivalency)/ Engineering degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and /or Draughtman related.
Minimum 5+ years of CAD drafting experience in infrastructure and dry utilities projects including Lighting, MV, LV Power Distribution, Pumping Station etc.
Software experience required: AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM-Civil 3D, Revit & Navisworks.
Common Data Environment: ProjectWise & Autodesk Forma
Ability to communicate clearly in English.
