We are seeking an experienced and innovative Human Resources Director to lead and oversee critical HR functions, including employee performance reviews, benefits administration, HRIS management, and onboarding process development. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the HR Director will be a key driver in implementing strategies to foster employee success, improve operational efficiencies, and build a best-in-class HR experience. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, strategically-minded, and passionate about driving organizational growth through people-centric practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Management & Talent Development:
Design, implement, and manage comprehensive performance review processes that align employee goals with organizational objectives.
Train managers and staff on effective feedback and evaluation techniques to build a strong performance culture.
Evaluate and refine existing performance management tools and systems to ensure they meet the organization’s evolving needs.
- Benefits Strategy & Administration:
Oversee benefits programs, including health, retirement, wellness initiatives, and other employee perks, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and competitiveness in the market.
Collaborate with external vendors to negotiate optimal benefits packages and manage open enrollment processes.
Analyze employee benefits utilization and recommend improvements or new offerings based on employee feedback and organizational priorities.
- HRIS Leadership:
Ensure effective implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the HRIS for seamless HR functionalities including payroll, tracking employee data, and reporting.
Act as the lead point of contact for troubleshooting HRIS issues and liaise with IT or external vendors when needed.
Regularly evaluate and upgrade the HRIS to meet changing business needs and improve user experience.
- Innovative Onboarding Process Development:
Overhaul and innovate the company’s onboarding processes to enhance the new hire experience and improve time-to-productivity metrics.
Partner with hiring managers to create role-specific onboarding programs that provide a seamless transition into the company culture.
Measure success of onboarding through employee retention rates, satisfaction surveys, and feedback loops, using data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
- Leadership & Compliance:
Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on organizational design, workforce planning, and HR best practices.
Develop and ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across all HR programs and policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a director or managerial role.
Proven expertise in performance management, benefits strategy, HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, or related platforms), and onboarding program development.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
