The officer is responsible for surveillance of premises to protect staff and visitors from criminal behavior and vandalism. Key duties include patrolling the facility, monitoring surveillance cameras, and responding to alarms or suspicious activity.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and be registered as a security officer. Required certifications include First Aid/BLS and self-defense training, along with proven experience as a security guard.
JOB PURPOSE:

You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. A security guard must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our facility safe and problem-free.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a 24/7 behavioral health inpatient facility.
