Full job description
Talent Acquisition Partner
The Talent Acquisition Partner owns the end-to-end recruiting process across a range of roles and departments at OrthoArizona. Serving as a strategic advisor to hiring managers and organizational leadership, this senior-level partner is responsible for building qualified candidate pipelines, delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring-manager experience, and ensuring every hire supports the organization's commitment to outstanding orthopedic patient care.
Beyond day-to-day requisition management, the Talent Acquisition Partner leads and contributes to special projects that advance the talent function - employer branding, recruiting technology and process improvement, sourcing partnerships, workforce planning, and data and reporting initiatives as assigned. This is a hands-on role for an experienced recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and can balance daily hiring demand with longer-term strategic work.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Recruiting (Primary Focus)
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle across an active and varied requisition load - from intake through offer acceptance and handoff to onboarding.
Partner with hiring managers and leaders to conduct thorough intake meetings, define role requirements, calibrate on candidate profiles, and set realistic timelines and expectations.
Source active and passive candidates using job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking system (ATS) databases, referrals, social media, and community networks.
Screen, interview, and assess candidates for skills, experience, licensure/certification, and culture and values alignment.
Coordinate and schedule interviews, guide interview panels, and gather structured feedback to drive timely, fair hiring decisions.
Manage the offer process, including extending offers, negotiating within approved compensation ranges, and initiating background checks, references, and pre-employment requirements.
Maintain accurate, compliant records in the ATS and ensure timely disposition of all candidates and requisitions.
Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience through prompt, professional, and transparent communication at every stage.
Track and report key recruiting metrics - time-to-fill, source effectiveness, pipeline health, offer-acceptance rate, and quality of hire.
Strategic Partnership & Advising
Act as a trusted talent advisor to leaders across the organization, providing market intelligence, hiring guidance, and realistic expectations grounded in current labor conditions.
Anticipate hiring needs by staying close to operational plans, turnover trends, and seasonal or growth-driven demand.
Champion the OrthoArizona employer brand in every candidate and stakeholder interaction.
Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in sourcing strategies and hiring practices.
Special Projects (As Assigned)
Employer branding & recruitment marketing: contribute to career-site content, social campaigns, and talent-attraction initiatives.
Recruiting technology & process improvement: help evaluate, implement, and optimize ATS, sourcing tools, and workflows.
Sourcing partnerships: build relationships with schools, training programs, professional associations, and community organizations to develop talent pipelines.
Workforce planning & analytics: support headcount planning, labor-market analysis, and recruiting dashboards and reporting.
Events & programs: plan and staff job fairs, hiring events, and referral programs.
Compliance & policy: help maintain recruiting practices that meet federal, state, and healthcare-specific requirements.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field - or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience across a range of roles and levels.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple requisitions and competing priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and modern sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed).
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a large, shifting requisition load with competing priorities.
Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Preferred
Healthcare, hospital, physician-practice, or ambulatory/medical-group recruiting experience.
Familiarity with clinical and non-clinical roles, including licensure and certification requirements where applicable.
Experience contributing to or leading talent-related special projects (branding, technology, analytics, DEI).
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
Experience with structured/behavioral interviewing and recruiting analytics.
Core Competencies
Sense of urgency and bias for action in a fast-paced environment.
Consultative, relationship-driven approach with hiring managers and candidates.
Data-informed decision-making and comfort with recruiting metrics.
Adaptability and initiative to move fluidly between daily hiring and project work.
Commitment to an exceptional candidate experience and to OrthoArizona's patient-first mission.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Primarily an office/hybrid role based in the Phoenix metro area, with periodic travel to clinic and practice locations for intake meetings, hiring events, and interviews. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for job fairs and high-demand hiring periods. Reasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
