Install and commission new testing equipment while providing sustainable repair and preventive maintenance. Support customer testing operations both remotely and on-site at customer facilities.
Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanics, Robotics, Electrical, or Optics Engineering. Candidates need 1-3 years of experience and a willingness to travel 60-70% within the US and Asia.
Overview:
The Field Application Engineer is an integral part of our Customer Success (CS) activities in US, supporting our customers testing operations. In this position you will be based in Cupertino, CA, but traveling to customer sites is essential when needed. The work will revolve around installation and commissioning of new testing equipment as well as application of sustainable repair, preventive maintenance, and improvement solutions over the life cycle of the testers, both remotely and on-site at our customers’ facilities.
This role requires strong technical understanding, customer serving attitude, and ability to work under pressure. The Field Application Engineers are supported by a team of engineers and SW/HW designers, and to succeed in the role you need strong communication skills.
You are the person we are looking for if you prefer to work by learning new skills, solving problems and want to work with the latest technologies. You work independently, hands-on, and responsibly, and enjoy interacting with (internal and external) customers, and know what effective teamwork is all about.
