Job DetailsJob Location: Plano Campus - Plano, TX 75025Position Type: InternshipPosition Summary: The Gap Intern program at One Community Church is designed to develop and equip individuals for ministry leadership through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship. The intern will be responsible for completing class assignments and course materials, achieving weekly outreach goals by inviting people to church, and actively contributing to the ministry. This role requires a commitment to personal, professional, and spiritual development, with a focus on building intimacy with Jesus and discipling others. Key Responsibilities: Class Assignments and Course Materials:
Be present and actively participate in all scheduled class sessions.
Complete all class assignments and projects on time, demonstrating a commitment to learning and growth.
Engage with course materials and discussions, bringing insights and questions that enhance the learning environment. Weekly Outreach Goals:
Aim to meet or exceed weekly outreach goals.
Engage with the community through personal interactions and invitation efforts.
Track and report outreach efforts and outcomes, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
Ministry Leadership Development
Participate in leadership training sessions, workshops, and mentorship opportunities.
Take initiative in personal and professional development, seeking out resources and experiences that foster growth as a ministry leader.
Reflect on experiences and feedback to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Adding Value to Ministry Leader and Area: Support ministry leaders in planning and executing ministry activities and events. Produce something that can change or add value to the ministry area, helping the church better achieve its mission.
Demonstrate a servant's heart by being flexible, dependable, and willing to take on various tasks as needed.Spiritual Growth: Engage in regular personal Bible study, prayer, and worship, emphasizing intimacy with Jesus. Participate in community life at One Community Church, building relationships with other interns, staff, and church members. Pour into and develop people within the respective ministry area, fostering relational ministry.
QualificationsA strong commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of One Community Church.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
A heart for ministry and a desire to grow as a leader.
Previous experience in ministry or volunteer work is a plus, but not required.
