The representative serves as the first point of contact, greeting patients and managing appointments and check-ins. They are also responsible for verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
A high school diploma is required, while an associate degree or medical office certification is preferred. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in a healthcare or customer service setting and proficiency with EHR systems.
