Ministry Assistant - Part Time: Mission Catalysts Group
The NC Baptist family is a mission-driven team that pursues excellence to help local North Carolina Baptist churches accomplish more together for God’s kingdom. N.C. Baptists partner to take the gospel of Jesus to all the nations. As a member of our team, you help resource and mobilize local churches in becoming a movement of churches on mission together.
We’re looking for a dependable, team-oriented professional who can communicate clearly to join the Mission Catalysts Group (MCG) team as a Part-Time Ministry Assistant. On Mission together, you will provide the MCG, the Global Missions Coordinator, and NC Baptist ministries with essential administrative, organizational, and operational support to keep daily functions running smoothly in a manner that honors Christ. In this role, you will handle digital and material communications, coordinate meeting and travel logistics, support conference and event implementation, maintain group personnel files, and assist with basic expense tracking and recordkeeping.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
Experience: Applicant must have at least one (1) year of relevant work experience.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms) required; proficiency in or willingness to learn Salesforce and project management software.
Faith & Alignment: Must demonstrate a strong Christian character, a genuine profession of faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, close alignment with the Baptist Faith & Message (2000), commitment to a local church, and support for the ministries of the SBC and BSCNC.
Attributes: Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills with basic knowledge of bookkeeping, budgeting, and expense tracking.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
Provide daily administrative and clerical office support for the Mission Catalysts Group and the Global Missions Coordinator.
Manage digital and material communications, maintain up-to-date filing systems, and respond promptly to information requests.
Assist with meeting scheduling and travel arrangements for the Global Missions Coordinator.
Support the implementation of MCG conferences and events, including correspondence, material preparation, pre-registration processing, and handling registration on-site.
Maintain group personnel files, including vacation schedules, monthly calendars, time cards, and monthly expense reports.
Collaborate with other Ministry Assistants to ensure smooth overall office operations.
