The Controller leads financial strategy, budgeting, and reporting while overseeing the finance team and ensuring compliance with ASPE and internal governance. The role also focuses on automating accounting processes and optimizing financial systems to improve operational efficiency.
The candidate must possess strong leadership skills to mentor a finance team and the technical expertise to manage complex financial statements and audits. Experience in ERP optimization and financial digitalization is highly valued for this strategic role.

The incumbent provides direction to the finance team and collaborates closely with projects and senior management to support organizational growth and sound financial governance.
• Partner with the VP of Finance to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support operational and strategic initiatives.
• Lead financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, forecasting and long range modeling.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with ASPE, internal policies and external audit requirements.
• Manage all general ledger activities, reconciliations and financial close processes.
• Coordinate annual external audits and act as primary liaison with auditors.
• Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures and documentation.
• Design, implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies.
• Ensure compliance with approval processes, segregation of duties and governance standards.
• Support continues improvement in financial risk management and reporting integrity.
Identify opportunities to automate core accounting processes (e.g., reconciliations, journal entries, reporting cycles) as well as
implement tools and workflows that reduce manual intervention and improve cycle times.
Oversee the effective use and continuous improvement of financial systems (ERP, reporting tools, dashboards).
Partner with IT and business leaders to enhance system functionality and integration.
• Lead organization wide budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with department leaders.
• Monitor performance against plan and provide variance analysis and recommendations.
• Identify cost efficiencies, financial risk and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide clear financial dashboards and reports to management and the VP Finance and Legal.
• Oversee financial systems (ERP and reporting tools) and ensure data integrity.
• Drive automation and process enhancements to increase efficiency and reporting quality.
• Collaborate with operational departments and IT on system integration and optimization.
