The Costume Designer is responsible for developing the visual concept of the production and creating costume renderings for approval. They must also coordinate costume construction, fittings, and the organization of items throughout the production schedule.
The ideal candidate must be a creative team player with proficiency in sewing and costume construction techniques. They are required to attend all production meetings, technical rehearsals, and manage the cleaning and return of costume items.

Milagro is looking for a creative team player for this devisedDia de los Muertos Carpa show,which opens on October16th. The Costume Designer will be able to access a generous costumestock, access to a sewing room and be provided with a decent budgetfor purchases. There will be collaboration with the directorand other designers,coordinated through theweeklyproduction meetings. The ideal candidate can also sew, in additionto design and is knowledgeable about construction techniques forquick change costumes.
Performance of the role/position shall include pre-production, rehearsals as necessary, technical rehearsals, load-in and load out, during the period from: 8/26/2026 – 11/08/2026
The Costume Designer is responsible for:
Developing the visual concept of the production in coordination with the production Director(s)
Developing renderings and/or drawings of costume design for the approval of designated personnel
Coordination with designated personnel for purchases, pulling from stock, building, rentals, and organizing costumes according to the timeline set forth in the schedule
Arranging measurement and costume fittings with appropriate staff
Restocking, cleaning, returning borrowed or rented items within ONE WEEK of closing.
Attendance at all production meetings and technical rehearsals.
