JOB SUMMARY:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the primary point of contact between Midwest Environmental Services, Inc. and its customers, while collaborating with multiple Midwest departments to ensure accurate setup of new customer accounts and adherence to all procedures. This role is essential to supporting Midwest’s mission by providing safe, compliant, and responsive environmental services. The CSR is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries related to services and orders, coordinating environmental service requests, processing waste transportation, and disposal documentation, maintaining accurate customer records, and ensuring timely communication between customers, operations, transportation, and management teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the first point of contact with customers via phone, email, and online inquiries.
Sets up new customer accounts in the company management software and customer databases.
Confer with customers to provide information about products or services, takes and/or enters orders, cancels accounts, or obtains details of complaints.
Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction, and appropriate changes are made to resolve service issues.
Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments as well as actions taken.
Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.
Monitor service completion and communicate updates to customers.
Performs other tasks and duties upon business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience.
Experience in environmental services, transportation, waste management, logistics, industrial services, or related industries preferred.
Experience working with multiple departments and managing customer accounts preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is primarily conducted in an indoor office setting, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions. In this role, employees are regularly required to sit, stand, walk, speak, and listen. At times, the position may also require stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
The job requires sufficient manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment and a personal computer. Employees must be able to communicate clearly, either through speech and hearing or other effective methods, to understand instructions and interact with others. Visual ability is also necessary to read and interpret written instructions, as well as to review, assess, and prepare various documents and materials.

Work SCHEDULE
On-Site in the Louisville office
Day Shift 7:00am -3:30pm/8:00am -4:30pm
Monday – Friday
Occasional Overtime, including weekends and holidays may be required.
May be required to respond to after-hours customer inquiries or emergency service requests.
TRAVEL REQUIRE:
Less than 10% travel
Occasional travel to other Midwest locations for training.
