Carefully hand-pick mushrooms according to specifications and report any quality issues to supervisors. Handle and pack products into crates while adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
Candidates must be physically capable of sustained bending and lifting and possess a strong attention to detail. New Zealand citizenship or a resident visa is required for this role.

The Opportunity
We are seeking reliable, hardworking harvesters to join our Harvesting team. These roles are hands-on and physically active, working in our growing rooms to ensure mushrooms are harvested and handled to the highest quality standards. You will be part of a dedicated team where attention to detail and consistency is highly valued.
Permanent, part time
Based in Hornby, Christchurch
Start time: 7am (until duties are finished)
Roster:
Thursday - Monday
Please note, that these roles do not have a set finish time. Some days you may finish earlier, while others may finish later. You will be required to work until all duties for the day are completed.
Key Responsibilities
Harvesting & Quality
Carefully pick mushrooms by hand according to our specifications
Identify and report any crop or quality issues to supervisors promptly
Packing & Handling
Place harvested product into crates or trays ensuring minimal handling damage
Follow hygiene and food safety procedures at all times
Teamwork & Workplace Safety
Work well with your team to meet daily targets and maintain a positive team environment
Adhere to Health & Safety policies, use PPE correctly and report hazards or incidents
What You’ll Bring
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for sustained periods, including standing, bending and lifting
Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
Positive attitude, reliable attendance and a strong team focus
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early starts and weekends
Previous experience in harvesting, horticulture or packing is an advantage, but full training will be provided
