The Process Controls Engineer supports and maintains control systems including SCADA, PLCs, and HMIs for gas gathering and processing assets. They are responsible for implementing process control improvements, troubleshooting system issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and compliant operations.
Candidates must have at least seven years of related experience and hold an associate's degree or vocational qualification, with a bachelor's degree in engineering preferred. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check and drug test are mandatory.

The Process Controls Professional supports control systems for the gas gathering, compression, processing, and pipeline assets in the East Texas area. This role provides technical stewardship for SCADA systems, PLC programs, and HMI systems. The position is responsible for implementing process controls improvements, troubleshooting control system issues, and supporting projects in adherence to MPLX standards and industry best practices. This role works closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Measurement and Environmental teams to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations through effective application of control strategies and automation technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Programs PLCs (primarily Allen Bradley and Emerson) to automate processes and sequences to achieve operational safety and efficiency objectives
This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.
• Associate's degree or vocational qualifications in related field required; Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
