POSITION OVERVIEW: As an Administrative Assistant  at LJA Business Solutions, you will be responsible for support for day-to-day activities of the various workgroups.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

• Assists with organizing department initiatives, events, and leadership meetings as required
• Manage and maintain the Corporate Controller’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, prioritizing conflicts, and coordinating across departments
• Organize and prepare materials for meetings, including agendas and supporting documentation
• Makes travel, conference and seminar arrangements (flights, hotels, transportation, itineraries)
• Assists with travel expense reports and documentation as needed
• Draft, format, and distribute communications to the accounting department on behalf of the Controller
• Assists with ordering routine supplies for accounting department
• Assists with scheduling conference rooms for meetings and setup of beverages and food
• Handles administrative tasks as and when required
• Other tasks, as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Associates Degree preferred or experience in industry

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of experience
• Strong Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint knowledge
• Must be dependable and possess sense of urgency
• Previous experience in an engineering consulting firm strongly desired
• Excellent proofreading and editing skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment; ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines
