The Wellness Associate educates customers on health formulas and manages daily retail operations including inventory, cash handling, and store maintenance. They are also responsible for answering customer inquiries and ensuring the store environment meets company standards.
Candidates should have intermediate knowledge of vitamins and dietary supplements with at least one year of retail experience. A bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field is preferred, along with the physical ability to stand and lift items regularly.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assists and educates customers on Life Extension’s unique, cutting-edge formulas and answers health related questions
· Thoroughly reads all Life Extension literature to ensure product knowledge is up to date; achieve an 80% or better on monthly magazines quiz
· Operates cash register
· Performs cycle counts as needed
· Retrieves products and prepares for mail order shipments; replenishes shelves with inventory, block and face store shelves
· Answers incoming and inter-departmental phone calls
· Receives and process customer returns
· Participates in annual physical store inventory
· Performs opening/closing duties as directed according to SOPs and checklists
· Shares ideas, information and experiences that will benefit the Nutrition Center and/or company
· Displays flexibility within the department; willing to make necessary schedule changes based on departmental needs
· Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position
· Additional duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
· Intermediate knowledge of vitamins and dietary supplements required; 1+ years of experience in retail environment preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Alternative Medicine or related field preferred
· Strong customer service mentality
· Ability to stand up to 95% of the time; ability to lift 10 pounds; must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and reach overhead on a regular basis
