POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Account Manager is an important role within the global organization and has responsibility for management of sales forecasts and demand planning processes for key national accounts and production requirements from VTech's manufacturing facilities.

The Supply Chain Account Manager ensures successful planning and execution of sales plans for Tier I and II customers and collaborates with Sales teams and Customers to achieve best in class forecast accuracy, on-time delivery of product commitments, and world class service. This position works closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and the overseas manufacturing team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the forecast process and collaborate with sales teams to ensure total monthly forecast aligns with the corporate sales strategy for specific assigned accounts. Identify forecast risk and opportunities and recommend action plans to maximize sales.
  • Analyze customer POS and shipment trends, customer inventory levels, and internal inventory levels to develop the forecast. Monitor actual results vs. forecast to recommend changes and perform postmortem analysis on forecast variances. Provide monthly variance analysis for TY/LY, TY/budget, and TY/previous month.
  • Ensure forecast is driven by retailer demand and utilizes run rate analytics to validate future demand requirements. Incorporates promotional plan into the forecast and evaluates promotion sales lift results to determine future promotional sales expectations.
  • Create and maintain weekly/monthly reporting to track forecast accuracy and attainment.
  • Participate in a monthly S&OP meeting to determine actions required to achieve the forecast. Communicate demand requirements to the Supply Planning team and collaborate on timing of supply.
  • Track key customer in stock percents and TY/LY inventory levels on a weekly basis. Communicate flow issues to sales team to proactively identify potential in stock issues due to sales exceeding forecast or supply availability issues. Recommend forecast adjustments required to achieve customer in stock targets and minimize excess inventory risk.
  • Incorporate product life cycles into the demand plan to successfully launch new items and phase out supply on end-of-life items to minimize excess inventory and markdown risk.
  • Ensure proper execution of special programs including pallet programs, bundles, and PDQs into the demand plan.
  • Incorporates situation analysis, problem diagnosis, and operations analysis to support business decision making with financial analysis.
  • Collaborate through communication and teamwork with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous, and professional manner
  • Exercise sound business judgment
  • Work independently and collaboratively and manage time effectively in order to meet changing deadlines and priorities
  • Treat all employees, guests and customers and others affiliated with our business with respect
  • Conform and abide by all laws, regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions and VTech's Rules of Engagement

POSITION SKILLS

  • Understanding of forecasting methodologies in a retail environment and the impact of the forecast on the overall supply chain. Ability to use various sales and inventory ratios to identify trends across customers and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional stake holders, influence decisions, and recommend a course of action based on data analytics.
  • Ability to engage with key national retailers daily/weekly/monthly and represent VTech professionally to achieve joint business objectives with customers.
  • Experience with both domestic and import sourcing, purchase order management and analysis
  • Ability to effectively handle potentially stressful situations.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess superior organizational, self-motivation and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledgeable in planning and forecasting systems (MRP/ERP/CRM).
  • Experience in using business intelligence tools like Business Objects or Microstrategy is desirable.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis tools including Excel, Power BI, and others.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 preferred.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in the area of Supply chain, Inventory Management or Analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Sales, Logistics/Supply Chain or a related field; or any combination of experience and education that provides the necessary skills, knowledge and ability to perform essential functions of this role.
  • Prior experience in collaborative planning and forecasting (CPFR), Financial Forecasting, Inventory Management and Retail Sales Planning is essential.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no management/supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Duties are primarily performed in an office environment, although hybrid work is allowed as appropriate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Core hours will be set between employee and manager and will be based on business needs. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected 10% of the time.

Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 - $92,000 + bonus potential + excellent benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and maintaining internal equity.
