Job Title: Product Marketing Ultrasonic Flow Products 

Department: Sales

Reports To: Director of Product Management 

FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY

Maintain direct responsibility for achieving the sales quota for the Ultrasonic Product Line for the territory by successfully executing duties and responsibilities outlined below. Support selling channels for all industries, key vertical markets, EPCs, system integrators and OEMs within North America. Develop sales strategies and tactics to improve regional and Product specific market position for KROHNE Flow products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. 60% travel within NAFTA. Occasional travel to Feeder Factory. 
  2. Support other product managers and sales team efforts with specialized product knowledge.
  3. Perform direct sales activities while also supporting sales channels and key account sales to achieve sales quota of assigned territory. 
  4. Support regional sales efforts with specialized product knowledge by developing sales presentations, organize lunch and learns , trainings, joint sales calls with channels and parallel sales efforts for projects
  5. Implement product strategies for targeted industries to capitalize on regional industrial trends and product strengths
  6. Develop and maintain application and presentation database for specific product group.
  7. Collaborate with and provide ongoing evaluation of sales channels within assigned territory/industry in accordance with company strategies and objectives
  8. Liase with internal Product Management teams to influence product features, lifecycle
  9. Perform customer and executive level presentations at trade seminars, customer sites and as required by management
  10. Utilize sales and marketing software and customer relationship management tools as required by management for sales planning, actions and pursuits
  11. Develop sales tools, create promotional materials, plan and implement product launch activities in conjunction with sales and marketing management
  12. Distribute product updates, competitive updates and handouts to sales channels and customers 
  13. Advise sales management and product managers of product enhancement requirements to meet industry standards/trends as applicable
  14. Supports inside sales, outside sales, production and after sales for assigned product line
  15. Analyze competition and market information to develop product positioning as it relates to volume and pricing, product features, channel development and delivery
  16. Implement and deliver training programs within region to sales channels as it relates to processes, procedures, products and applications
  17. Work with marketing department to deliver specific product promotion activity in region
  18. Collect competitive price lists, product literature and information relating to market developments
  19. Publish technical papers and present at industry schools and tradeshows
  20. Assists with supporting private label agreements and partners
  21. Reviews technical and sales communications for technical comprehension as necessary

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; and four plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Thorough knowledge of industrial flow and level measurement concepts and product applications gained through education and practical experience is required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Communication Skills:

Strong communication skills and teamwork are required for this position since this individual will interact directly with both a number of departments within the organization and with numerous levels of management. This individual will also be responsible to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, technical white papers, operating instructions, and procedural manuals. Individual may be required to write routine reports.

All correspondence, communication, work instructions (both verbal and written) will be in English. The successful person must be capable of clearly understanding and interpreting into action these directions.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations is required.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, or oral form is required.

Computer Skills: Experience and familiarity with PC Based word processing and spread sheet programs is essential.

Travel: Up to 60% domestic and international travel is required for this role. The person must remain eligible for a Passport at all times.
