We're looking for an organized and process-driven Traffic Operator that oversees and optimizes end-to-end traffic operations. This role requires a deep understanding of operational workflows from initiation through completion, with a strong focus on task structuring, process standardization, procedure development, and operational compliance.
Responsible for analyzing current operations, designing scalable procedures, implementing controls, and ensuring teams consistently follow established processes to achieve operational efficiency, accuracy, and service excellence.
Traffic Operations Management
Manage and oversee the full lifecycle of traffic operations from planning and intake through execution, monitoring, and completion.
Ensure smooth coordination between internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to maintain operational flow and service levels.
Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and turnaround times.
Monitor daily operational activities and proactively resolve issues affecting workflow continuity.
Process Structuring & Optimization
Analyze existing workflows and restructure operational tasks for maximum efficiency and clarity.
Develop scalable operational frameworks and standardized working methods.
Define task ownership, priorities, timelines, and escalation paths across operations.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce operational risks.
Procedure Development
Create, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process maps, and operational guidelines.
Ensure all procedures are clear, practical, measurable, and aligned with business objectives.
Update operational documentation regularly to reflect process changes and best practices.
Support implementation of new tools, systems, and operational standards.
Compliance & Quality Control
Establish control mechanisms to ensure procedures and operational standards are consistently followed.
Conduct regular audits and operational reviews to measure compliance and identify gaps.
Track KPIs, operational metrics, and service quality indicators.
Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to management for process improvements.
Training & Stakeholder Support
Train and support team members on operational procedures, systems, and best practices.
Act as a subject matter expert for traffic operations processes and workflow management.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align operational activities with company goals.
Promote a culture of accountability, consistency, and operational excellence.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
Mandatory Experience (Non-Negotiable)
5-10 years of experience within a physical commodity trading house or similar.
English fluent, verbal and written.
Strong understanding of dynamics in commodity trading.
Experience working with internal and external stakeholders
