Position Summary
Kampack GA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to support the maintenance and reliability of our corrugated manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The successful candidate will possess strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills and extensive experience maintaining corrugated converting and corrugator equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical and electronic systems to ensure maximum equipment uptime, reliability, safety, and production efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, electronic, and control system issues on corrugated manufacturing equipment.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including motors, drives, controls, sensors, relays, transformers, panel boards, and power distribution systems.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, uptime, safety, and production efficiency.
Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
Collaborate with production, operations, and maintenance personnel to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using the company's CMMS system.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, company safety policies, and lockout/tagout procedures.
Maintain effective communication with supervisors and coworkers regarding equipment status, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Participate in emergency breakdown response and support scheduled shutdown maintenance activities.
Train and mentor maintenance technicians on electrical troubleshooting and repair techniques as needed.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical degree, industrial electrical certification, or apprenticeship training preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance electrician experience in the corrugated packaging industry is required.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and automation.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment.
Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and off-shift hours as required.

Electrical Systems
AC and DC motor troubleshooting and repair.
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Servo motors and motion control systems.
Motor starters, contactors, relays, and overload protection.
Industrial power distribution systems.
Transformers, panel boards, and conduit installation.
Electrical troubleshooting using multimeters, amp probes, oscilloscopes, and circuit tracers.
PLC and Automation
PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms.
HMI troubleshooting and support.
Industrial sensors including
Photo eyes
Proximity switches
Ultrasonic sensors
Encoders
Limit switches
Mechanical Knowledge
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors.
Vacuum and compressed air systems.
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in elevated areas.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and moving machinery.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
