Description

Job Summary – A safety sensitive position responsible for the process of accurately transforming sheets of acrylic into tub shells. Set-up and change molds.

Essential Job Functions

• Inspect mold for damage prior to each set up, repair as needed and report damage to supervisor.
• Inspect acrylic before forming.
• Accurately load and operate vacuum former, making necessary adjustments to frame when necessary.
• Attach acrylic sheet to the frame of the vacuum former.
• Ensure proper operation of machine during vacuum forming process.
• Route tub shells to the Fiberglass area once formed.
• Prepare inventory tags and inventory reduction sheets daily.
• Perform required and regular maintenance on equipment.
• Abide by all safety procedures specific to the work area including the consistent and proper use of personal protective equipment. 
• Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.
• Ability to operate a forklift in close quarters and in high acuity situations.

Work Environment

• Non-Climate controlled manufacturing environment.
• Regularly exposed to extreme heat and cold temperatures.
• Protective eye gear required.
• Work performed inside areas that are adequately lighted, ventilated, and heated.
• Potential for chemical odor and dust exists. 

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting (40-60 lbs.) for short periods of time.
• Finger and hand dexterity,
• Ability to grasp, lift and /or carry.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Requires listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. 
• Required to push, pull, reach, walk, bend and work in positions over and under machinery. 
• Frequent repetitive motion.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Prior experience a plus but on-the-job training is available.

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to clear a pre-employment background check within Company set parameters. 
• Must clear pre-employment Drug screen with a Negative in all tested chemicals.
