Position Summary:
The Vice President, Treasury will serve as a key member of the Finance leadership team, responsible for leading the company’s global treasury, liquidity, capital markets, corporate risk, and insurance functions. This leader will develop and execute strategies to optimize global cash management, working capital, capital structure, debt financing, financial risk mitigation, and enterprise risk programs in support of the company’s long-term growth objectives.
As a senior leader within a public company environment, the VP Treasury will play a critical role in supporting strategic initiatives, including M&A financing, investor and rating agency engagement, SEC reporting and disclosure support, bank relationship management, hedging strategies, and corporate insurance programs. This role will be closely partnered with the CFO, Controller, Legal, Tax, FP&A, Investor Relations, Business Unit leaders, and external financial partners.
Reporting to the VP, Strategic Finance & Capital Markets, the VP Treasury will lead a team that includes the Director of Treasury and the Director, Corporate Risk and Insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Treasury Strategy and Leadership
Lead the global treasury function, establishing the vision, strategy, governance, and operating model to support the company’s global business objectives.
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on liquidity, capital structure, financing alternatives, cash deployment, risk mitigation, and enterprise risk matters.
Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the Director of Treasury, Director of Corporate Risk and Insurance, and broader treasury/risk teams.
Build scalable treasury processes, policies, systems, controls, and reporting practices appropriate for a public company environment.
Drive continuous improvement, automation, and standardization of treasury operations across global regions.
Global Cash and Liquidity Management
Oversee global cash management, liquidity forecasting, cash positioning, and intercompany funding strategies.
Ensure adequate liquidity to support operating needs, strategic investments, debt obligations, capital expenditures, and shareholder value initiatives.
Lead global cash repatriation planning in partnership with Tax, Legal, and regional finance teams.
Optimize working capital and cash conversion performance through partnership with FP&A, Supply Chain, Commercial, and business finance teams.
Maintain strong controls over cash, investments, bank accounts, authorized signers, and treasury transactions.
Capital Structure, Debt, and Financing
Develop and execute capital structure strategies aligned with the company’s growth plans, leverage targets, liquidity needs, and shareholder value objectives.
Lead debt financing, refinancing, covenant management, and capital markets activities.
Support M&A financing planning, including financing strategy, funding sources, liquidity modeling, debt capacity analysis, and integration planning.
Evaluate and recommend capital allocation alternatives, including debt repayment, share repurchases, dividends, acquisitions, and strategic investments.
Monitor compliance with debt agreements, credit facilities, covenants, and related reporting requirements.
Hedging and Financial Risk Management
Develop and lead the company’s hedging strategy to mitigate financial exposures, including foreign exchange, interest rate, commodity, and other market risks.
Establish policies, governance frameworks, and controls for hedging activities and derivative instruments.
Partner with Accounting, Tax, Legal, and external advisors to ensure proper treatment, documentation, and reporting of hedging programs.
Monitor global financial risk exposures and provide recommendations to executive leadership on mitigation strategies.
Ensure hedging programs align with business objectives, risk tolerance, and public company compliance requirements.
Bank Relationships and Credit Rating Agency Management
Manage relationships with global banking partners, lenders, credit facility providers, investment banks, rating agencies, and other external financial institutions.
Lead credit rating agency engagement, including strategy, presentations, management meetings, and ongoing communications.
Develop materials and analysis to support rating agency reviews, capital markets transactions, and financing decisions.
Negotiate banking services, fees, credit agreements, and treasury solutions to support global operations.
Ensure bank relationship strategy supports the company’s geographic footprint, capital needs, and risk profile.
SEC Reporting, Disclosure, and Public Company Compliance Support
Partner with Accounting, Legal, Investor Relations, FP&A, and external auditors to support SEC reporting and disclosure requirements related to treasury, debt, liquidity, risk factors, derivatives, insurance, and capital structure.
Provide treasury-related inputs for Forms 10-K, 10-Q, earnings materials, debt disclosures, MD&A, liquidity disclosures, and other public company filings.
Support internal controls, SOX compliance, audit requests, and financial reporting processes related to treasury and risk management activities.
Ensure treasury policies, processes, and reporting practices meet public company governance, control, and disclosure expectations.
Corporate Risk and Insurance
Oversee corporate insurance programs, including property, casualty, general liability, directors and officers liability, cyber liability, workers’ compensation, product liability, and other relevant coverage areas.
Partner with the Director, Corporate Risk and Insurance to evaluate enterprise exposures and recommend appropriate risk transfer, mitigation, and insurance strategies.
Lead annual insurance renewals, coverage analysis, broker relationships, claims oversight, and premium optimization.
Ensure alignment of insurance programs with the company’s global operations, acquisition activity, contractual obligations, and enterprise risk profile.
Provide risk insights and reporting to senior leadership, Audit Committee, or Board-level stakeholders as appropriate.
Enterprise Risk Management
Provide leadership and oversight for enterprise risk management activities in partnership with Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, Operations, IT, Finance, and business leaders.
Identify, assess, monitor, and report key financial, operational, insurable, and strategic risks.
Support development of risk mitigation plans, risk reporting frameworks, and governance processes.
Partner with executive leadership to ensure enterprise risk considerations are integrated into strategic planning, M&A, capital allocation, and operational decision-making.
Support Board and committee reporting related to treasury, insurance, capital structure, and enterprise risk matters.

Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
15+ years of progressive finance, treasury, capital markets, banking, corporate risk, or related experience.
Significant experience leading treasury in a public company, large multinational organization, or complex corporate environment.
Demonstrated expertise in global cash management, liquidity forecasting, debt financing, capital structure, hedging, bank relationship management, and financial risk management.
Experience supporting SEC reporting, audit processes, internal controls, and public company disclosure requirements.
Experience managing relationships with banks, lenders, credit rating agencies, brokers, auditors, and external advisors.
Strong knowledge of debt instruments, credit agreements, derivatives, FX exposures, interest rate risk, insurance programs, and enterprise risk frameworks.
Proven ability to lead teams, influence executives, and operate effectively in a matrixed global organization.
Preferred
MBA, CPA, CFA, CTP, or other relevant advanced degree/certification.
Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, consumer products, or global operating company environment.
