The Registered Nurse supports patients through fertility procedures, including egg retrieval and embryo transfer. Responsibilities include pre-operative assessments, IV maintenance, post-anesthesia monitoring, and discharge teaching.
Candidates must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold current CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and IV therapy administration training are required.
Reporting to the Director, Surgery Centre, the Registered Nurse has primary responsibility of supporting patient through fertility operation procedures, including ovum (egg) retrieval, embryo transfer and sperm aspiration.
The position is in a collaborative team environment fostering both patient and employee experience. The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team, delivering patient-focused care to a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, meticulous, and is able to adapt to new challenges. They will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and have an interest in fertility.
