What you’ll be challenged to do:
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivatedprofessional to leadpreliminary engineering transportation projects (Phase I) and contribute to the design and planning of roadway systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and leadership skills to deliver high-quality solutions for IDOT, Illinois Tollway, andlocal agencyprojects.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Design & Planning:Manage and deliver roadway alignments, feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and preliminary alternatives for NEPA environmental documentation.Experience with EnvironmentalAssessments and Environmental Impacts Statements is preferred.
Team Leadership:Mentor and train junior staff, manage work planning and production scheduling, and contribute to team growth and vision.
Public Engagement:Actively participate in public involvement programs and collaborate with local agencies and stakeholders.
Technical Deliverables:Prepare cost estimates, technical reports, and documentation required for project approvals.
Project Management: Oversee projects aligned with experience level, including budgeting, scope, scheduling, and client coordination.
Innovation & Problem-Solving:Identify challenges and implement adaptive, creative solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
