Operates radiologic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic x-ray films and performs routine diagnostic procedures as directed by physicians. Responsibilities include positioning patients, maintaining examination rooms, and ensuring safety standards are met.
Requires current ARRT certification and completion of an approved radiologic technology course. One year of experience as a radiologic technologist is preferred.

Job Title: Radiology technologist
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of course in radiologic technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies
Certification/Licensure: Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Experience: One year of experience as a radiologic technologist preferred.
Alternative to minimum qualifications: None
General Summary of Duties: Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic x-ray films as directed by physicians and performs routine diagnostic procedures.
Supervision Received: Reports directly to Radiology Technology Supervisor/Office Manager
Supervision Exercised: None
Typical Physical Demands: Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination for operating and repair of all department equipment. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifts patients weighing up to 300 pounds and places them in appropriate positions for operation of equipment. Requires eye sight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films.
Typical Working Condition: Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
Potential Exposures: Lead, radiation, Envirocide, CaviCide, Clorox/Clorox wipes, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, hand soap.
