The Merchandise Handler is responsible for picking, staging, and loading products using heavy warehouse equipment like cherry pickers and reach trucks. They must also maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment while adhering to OSHA standards.
Candidates must have one to three years of recent work experience and proficiency in operating warehouse machinery such as cherry pickers and counterbalance forklifts. Excellent communication skills, basic mathematical ability, and the physical capacity to lift up to 60 pounds are required.

Merchandise Handlers are a vital part of our Pick & Pack Department, which includes the decorative items carried by floor & Decor. Your key responsibilities include picking orders from multi-level racks using a cherry picker, counter balance, and reach truck, putting away product, and staging orders for shipment. This position is hourly, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week
PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Physical Work – Ability exert 30 – 60 pounds of force frequently, and or 20-30 pounds of force constantly, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is often required to see, listen, and communicate. Employee is frequently exposed to heights up to 50 feet.
