The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing and executing the shipping and receiving functions within the warehouse. This includes processing incoming shipments, organizing and maintaining inventory, preparing outgoing shipments, and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of goods.
Daily, onsite attendance is required at the job's location in Anderson, Indiana. The regular hours for this position are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping and Receiving
Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
Record, report & resolve discrepancies and damages.
Organize and store received items in appropriate locations.
Update inventory records accurately.
Ensure that orders are accurately filled and properly packed.
Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
Arrange for the transportation of goods through various carriers.
Track and confirm the timely delivery of shipments.
Coordinate with 3PL on proper documentation.
Inventory Management
Conduct regular inventory counts and audits.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
Assist in managing inventory levels and reordering supplies as needed.
Coordinate with other departments to fulfill special order requirements.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain organized and accurate shipping and receiving logs.
Generate and submit regular reports on shipping and receiving activities.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
May need to flex to work different shift hours.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS SAP) is required.
5+ years of experience in warehouse operations.
Previous experience in shipping and receiving.
EXPERIENCE - PREFERRED
Experience with delivery to FITT USA main retailers is a plus.
CAPABILITIES
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient with computer applications (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Office Suite).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Qualified applicants must be able to
Ability to lift, push, pull and move up to 55 pounds, with or without assistance.
Ability to walk and stand on hard concrete floors for 8-10 hours.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
May require occasional overtime or weekend work.
Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
