Who You Are
The District Account Manager (Education Market West) will be responsible for account management of direct and Education Solutions Providers (ESP) distribution sales coverage, which includes selling all education solutions and applications that FANUC provides including both stand-alone and systems solutions. The assigned territory includes: Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico.
The District Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding strategic partnerships, and advancing workforce development initiatives across educational institutions, industry training, and government organizations while managing designated territory. Working closely with leadership, to drive a unified FANUC education offering and play a key role in the program development and growth, this highly visible sales role will combine consultative sales, relationship management, and business development to help shape the future of advanced manufacturing, robotics, and CNC education.
This role is part of an industry-leading team where the District Account Manager will influence national workforce development initiatives, collaborate with key industry partners, and help prepare the next generation of skilled manufacturing talent through innovative automation and technology solutions.
How It’s Done
Manage all activities within specified accounts or territory including all direct selling efforts to schools in coordination with our designated Education Solution Providers (ESP) to aggressively meet or exceed yearly established sales metrics.
Manage and own all activities within specified product segment (Robot, Robodrill, CNC) to meet or exceed yearly established targets in units, revenue, and gross
Develop and implement strategic selling plans for
Manage complex sales situations and direct company resources to “win” the
Develop relationships with key school and ESP personnel at all levels of engineering and management within accounts establishing FAC as a sustaining resource.
Initiate and establish direction and content of quotations by providing complete scope of work from
Provide pricing direction and review quotations prior to
Review proposals with customers for a clear and thorough understanding of the FAC content and competitive advantages.
Negotiate successful sales that maximize FAC
Interface with FAC resources and customer on sold projects to assure complete understanding of
Participate in kickoff and status meetings as required to assure smooth project execution and complete customer satisfaction.
Solicit input and feedback from customers on product operation and new requirements to provide direction on product improvements and new products to increase FAC’s competitive advantages and market share.
Manage company assets through accurate monthly forecast, pipeline orders, and support in the collection of overdue payments.
What You Need
Bachelor's degree in engineering or business-related field, or equivalent relevant
Minimum three (3) years of experience in a sales position, preferably selling capital equipment, with proven skills in customer selling, sales engagement, project management, and
Technical competency in automation applications from actual experience or formal education with a working knowledge and demonstration of robots and robotic/CNC applications.
Ability to demonstrate a robot, which includes operating robot and AV equipment.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a vehicle is required.

FANUC America is seeking a qualified applicant for a District Account Manager role. The pay range for this position is $107,000 - $179,000 per year. The pay range listed is based on both salary and other compensation, including bonuses and profit sharing, that an employee may be paid during their employment with FANUC America.
A compensation package offered to a successful applicant will ultimately be determined by consideration of a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, an applicant’s geographic location, educational attainment, and level of experience
