The Quality Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing inspection standards and procedures to ensure product accuracy and regulatory compliance. They analyze nonconformities to develop corrective actions and collaborate with internal teams and external customers to maintain quality standards.
Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of relevant experience, including familiarity with ISO 9001 and manufacturing processes. Candidates must be U.S. citizens to access ITAR controlled items and be proficient in using precision measuring tools and reading engineering drawings.

About Federal Equipment Company (FEC):
Federal Equipment Company has been a leading supplier of marine deck machinery and specialized weapons and material handling systems. The company, now part of Fairbanks Morse Defense, is rapidly growing.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for inspection planning, assisting in Root Cause and Corrective Action (including analysis of nonconformities), compliance to internal and external customer requirements, assisting in internal/external audits, assisting in process inspections, assisting in Calibration Management, and assisting in Continual Improvement.
This role is carried out in the primary FEC location. This role may require some travel (local and national) for supplier and/or sister-company audits, customer site visits, as well as other Manufacturing environments within FEC as required. This is a salary employee, based out of Cincinnati, OH, and reports to the Quality Manager.
FEC team members wear many hats and cover several areas of responsibility. This position is no different. This role will fulfill duties as described below, as well as technical and clerical duties that arise when bottlenecks present themselves. This position is one of proactivity, continuous improvement, and integrity for the overall quality of the company.
