Job Summary
The HR Communications and Engagement Manager is the voice of Human Resources to employees across Cynosure Lutronic, owning how the company communicates with its people and how HR listens to, understands, and responds to their needs. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this role designs and delivers clear, engaging, employee-facing communications—including company and HR program announcements, materials for live events, and ongoing updates that keep employees in the loop on business operations—while setting the tone for HR programs and ensuring they are well understood across a global workforce.
Operating as an individual contributor and trusted communications partner within HR, this role also leads the company’s employee recognition platform and manages global engagement surveys and polls, turning employee feedback into insight that helps HR respond to what matters most to the workforce. Partnering closely with HR colleagues, the executive team, and leaders across functions and regions, the Manager, HR Communications and Engagement continually finds new and inventive ways to strengthen connection, clarity, and trust between HR and employees—ensuring people understand the programs, resources, and decisions that affect them.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Communications Responsibilities:
• Serve as the voice of HR to employees, setting the tone for HR programs and ensuring they are clearly understood across the organization.
• Plan, write, and deliver employee-facing communications—including company updates, HR program announcements, and policy rollouts—across the channels employees rely on.
• Create compelling materials and content for live events, meetings, and HR program launches, ensuring messaging is consistent, on-brand, and easy to understand.
• Keep employees informed and in the loop on business operations, organizational updates, and key initiatives through timely, well-crafted communications.
• Translate complex HR, benefits, and business topics into clear, accessible language tailored to a global audience.
• Partner with the Head of HR and the HR team to build a communications calendar and maintain a consistent HR voice across all employee touchpoints.
Engagement, Recognition, and Listening Responsibilities:
• Lead and administer the company’s employee recognition platform, driving adoption, engagement, and a culture of appreciation.
• Design, manage, and analyze global engagement surveys and polls, ensuring strong participation and actionable results.
• Translate employee feedback and listening data into insights and recommendations that help HR understand and respond to employee needs.
• Develop new and inventive ways for HR to gather employee sentiment and act on it quickly and visibly.
• Support engagement initiatives and events that strengthen connection and belonging across a distributed workforce.
Collaboration and Partnership Responsibilities:
• Partner with HR colleagues, the executive team, and cross-functional leaders to align communications with HR and business priorities.
• Coordinate with global and regional stakeholders to ensure communications are relevant, culturally appropriate, and consistently delivered.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on employee communications, guiding HR partners on messaging, timing, and tone.
• Measure the reach and effectiveness of communications and engagement efforts, and refine approaches based on results.
Qualifications
Education
• No degree required; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Human Resources, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
Experience
• 4+ years of experience in HR, training, communications, or a related employee-facing field.
• Experience creating employee or internal communications across multiple channels and formats.
• Experience developing content and materials for live events, meetings, or program launches.
• Experience administering or supporting an employee recognition platform preferred.
• Experience designing and analyzing employee surveys, polls, or other listening tools preferred.
• Experience supporting a global workforce preferred.
Skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt voice and tone for different audiences.
• Strong storytelling and content-creation skills across written, visual, and presentation formats.
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging, employee-friendly messaging.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple communications and deadlines simultaneously.
• Comfort working with survey, recognition, and communications tools and interpreting engagement data.
• Collaborative, proactive, and creative—able to find inventive ways to connect HR with employees.
• Sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
