- Proven experience as an electrician
- Experience in residential and commercial electrical systems
- Must know how to prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
- Prevent systems breakdown by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems
- Fully qualified to work on all site electrical safely and install safety & distribution components (switches, resistors, indoor/outdoor circuit breaker panels).
- High level knowledge with connecting wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring compatibility of components
- Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
- Knowledge of plant safety, environment, and good maintenance practices
- Associates degree or technical school certification in industrial instrumentation and electrical skills preferred
