Job DetailsJob Location: Main Clinic - Lubbock, TX 79401The Certified Nursing Assistant (Behavioral Health) works as a part of the behavioral health team and supports providers in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. This role provides delegated nursing care under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse or health care provider, following established clinical policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice. The Certified Nursing Assistant (Behavioral Health) maintains a professional, cheerful, and respectful demeanor while assisting patients and promoting a positive patient experience. This position helps ensure continuity of care by collaborating with the behavioral health team to coordinate services, address patient needs, and support treatment plans established by the patient's provider. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with other members of the CHCL team for care management activities including support of the care plan and participation in CHCL programs.
Deliver direct patient care as assigned by providing clinical services in accordance with the requirements for clinical competence.
Ensure accurateness and completeness of documentation in the EHR system in accordance with the competency checklist as required for the CNA position.
Prepare and stock exam rooms with necessary supplies.
Uses screening procedures, including medical history, allergies, and medication review. Observes and documents patient vital signs.
Assumes some of the responsibilities of the CMA (in his/her absence).
QualificationsEducation: Diploma, and Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program.
Licensure: Certified as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Texas. Current in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Provider.
Experience: One to two years as a CNA, preferably with experience in clinic, doctor’s office or similar healthcare facility.
Language: English; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Travel: May require travel from one site to another; valid Texas drivers’ license and current auto insurance required; must have reliable and safe transportation.
Hours of Work: 8am-5pm M-F with some weekend/evening work.
