The Survey Assistant supports the Party Chief in collecting land survey data and performing legal and construction surveys in the field. They are also responsible for maintaining survey equipment and vehicles while ensuring all tasks are performed safely according to company HSE standards.
Candidates should ideally possess a Geomatics diploma or degree and a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract. Experience in remote locations and possession of relevant safety certifications are considered assets for this entry-level position.

Position Overview:
Challenger Geomatics has an opening for an intermediate land surveying Survey Assistant based in the Calgary area. The Survey Assistant helps the Party Chief collect land survey data in the field and keeps the survey equipment and work truck clean and organized. In addition to working on local projects in the Calgary area, there will be a need for regular travel to and from sites across Western Canada. On out-of-town projects, you will be gone for 2 to 3 weeks at a time staying at hotels or camp accommodation. You will have the chance to work on different types of projects and grow your career through participation in our training and development programs.
