The Principal Engineer will lead and manage the Fresno geotechnical team while driving business development across civil, environmental, and construction service lines. They are responsible for overseeing local operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring technical excellence in complex infrastructure projects.
Candidates must possess at least 12 to 15 years of relevant experience and hold a Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license in California or a CCM certification. A bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering is required, with a master's degree strongly preferred.

From earthquake and seismic engineering to the latest trenchless technology methods, Kleinfelder's Geotechnical Services support the planning, engineering, and construction of complex projects, and our specialists are leading experts in their fields.
Step into Your New Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing Kleinfelder’s Fresno team, business development, selling civil, geotechnical, environmental and construction services across multiple markets to include water, transportation, power, and federal. As part of the assigned duties the Principal level Group Manager will lead local operations, supervise and drive organic grow across all service.
We are offering a minimum $10,000 sign on bonus for this role!
Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary Range: $133,494 - $227,531
