The Mechanical Fitter will perform mechanical inspections, maintenance, and repairs on rail rolling stock in accordance with safety regulations. They are also responsible for completing documentation, fault finding, and coordinating with contractors during depot operations.
Candidates must hold a trade qualification or railway examiner's certificate and have experience with rolling stock or railway equipment. Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, along with a valid rail awareness certificate, is required.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the team on a casual basis in Gladstone. The Mechanical Fitter will be required perform examinations and provide maintenance of rail rolling stock, in accordance with established procedures and protocols thereby assuring a safe working environment with compliance with the Rail Safety and OH&S regulations on site and “in-field” operations.
This role will report to Workshop Supervisor.
