The Foreman is responsible for setting up and maintaining temporary traffic control devices and detours to ensure public safety on roadway construction projects. They coordinate traffic control laborers and communicate with on-site client representatives to ensure compliance with MOT guidelines.
Candidates should have a High School Diploma/GED, Advanced MOT Certification, and preferably 2 years of experience in traffic control or road construction. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and a valid driver's license are required.
The Maintenance of Traffic Foreman is required to perform temporary traffic control operations in order to maintain traffic on a roadway construction project in a manner that protects and conveys the public in an efficient manner within a specified work zone. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, company policies and procedures and safety guidelines.
