Centers for Pain Control is an independent medical practice established in 2009, by Chetan Puranik, M.D.. Having trained in the fields of Anesthesiology and Pain Management, Dr. Puranik opened the first Centers For Pain Control office in LaPorte, Indiana. As the practice developed, Dr. Puranik found that several surrounding areas were highly underserved, and patients had a difficult time finding pain physicians that could successfully address their pain issues. He therefore began recruiting partners to help expand the practice and provide a service to those patients. Centers for Pain Control now has 7 physicians with 4 clinics throughout Northwest Indiana. The physicians focus on accurately diagnosing and comprehensively treating the underlying cause of a variety of pain syndromes. Multiple modalities are utilized, including medication management and injections. If these measures fail to work, the physicians have surgical colleagues throughout the area that can offer other options, such as joint and spine surgery. As part of our ongoing dedication to comprehensive patient care, Centers for Pain Control now offers full service lower extremity vein treatment for venous reflux (i.e., varicose veins) and related problems. These services are provided at all of the locations and has proven to be very effective in controlling pain and other symptoms caused by venous disease. Dr. Puranik and his partners are proud to commit their services to the patients of Northwest Indiana, and always strive to provide the highest level of service and the best possible outcomes in the safest and most comfortable environment.
