Bruceton Petroleum Co., Inc. Job Title- Diesel Mechanic/Fleet Technician

REPORTS TO: Manager and Director of Operations

Bruceton Petroleum is currently seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician to join our team at our Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania shop. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of petroleum transport vehicles, delivery trucks, propane bobtails, service trucks, and related equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Schedule

Monday through Friday
Daylight shift
Overtime opportunities available as needed

Pay

$25.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and certifications

Primary Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on:

Tanker trucks
Fuel delivery trucks
Propane bobtails
Service trucks
Fleet pickup trucks
Shop equipment and other machinery

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and fuel systems
Troubleshoot and repair DEF/emissions systems
Perform DOT inspections and assist in maintaining fleet compliance
Identify safety concerns and mechanical deficiencies
Utilize diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools
Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records
Work with management to prioritize repairs and minimize fleet downtime

QualificationsQualifications

Experience working on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks required
CDL Class A or B preferred (Class C considered)
Experience with tanker, fuel, propane, or commercial truck fleets is a plus
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
Experience using computer diagnostic software
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
Must have own basic hand tools
Must be dependable, motivated, and safety-conscious

Physical Requirements

Ability to bend, lift, twist, squat, crouch, kneel, and work in confined spaces
Ability to lift 25–75 lbs.
Ability to work above shoulder level using hand and power tools
Must meet physical requirements for mobility, vision, hearing, dexterity, and awareness necessary to safely perform the duties of the position
