The Medical Lab Scientist performs routine analytical tests on blood, tissues, and other body specimens using clinical laboratory equipment. They are responsible for ensuring quality control, maintaining a safe work environment, and providing accurate results to physicians.
A Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field from a CLIA-approved program is required. Candidates must hold or be eligible for a nationally recognized MLS certification, preferably from the ASCP.

The Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) is responsible for performing the routine test on blood, tissues, and other body specimens, as well as providing physicians with quality results using a variety of clinical laboratory equipment. The Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) must have a total understanding of patient safety and laboratory techniques necessary to guarantee complete patient safety and anonymity.
MLS Medical Lab Scientist Certification or eligible by a nationally recognized certification agency (preferably ASCP) (required)

Minimum: $30.99
Maximum: $48.04
