About the Role

Base Brands is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead and grow Reduce’s organic social media presence. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role will develop and execute the brand’s social media strategy, produce engaging content, manage publishing and community engagement, and cultivate creator partnerships that expand the brand’s reach and relevance. We’re looking for a highly creative, hands-on content producer who understands what makes people stop scrolling, engage, and share. You have a deep understanding of the social media landscape, stay closely connected to cultural and platform trends, and know how to translate brand priorities into timely, compelling content. You have an eye for strong creative, enjoy capturing behind-the-scenes moments, and are comfortable appearing on camera as a representative of the brand.

What You'll Do

As Social Media Manager, you will own the day-to-day management of Reduce’s organic social channels and bring the brand to life through original, platform-native content. You’ll lead the content process from concept through production and publishing, engage directly with our online community, and build authentic relationships with creators who align with the brand. You’ll combine creativity, cultural awareness, and performance insights to produce content that grows brand awareness, strengthens community, and supports business priorities.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead Reduce’s organic social presence across the following areas:

Social Strategy and Channel Management

• Develop and execute an organic social media strategy aligned with brand, marketing, and business priorities.
• Manage day-to-day activity across Reduce’s organic social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest.
• Maintain the monthly social media content calendar and manage content scheduling and publishing across platforms.
• Monitor emerging platforms, technologies, cultural moments, relevant news, and social trends to identify opportunities for Reduce.
• Recommend timely, brand-appropriate ways to participate in cultural conversations and emerging social formats.
• Manage paid boosting of selected organic social content; this role does not own broader paid social strategy or media budgets.

Content Production

• Lead social content production from initial concept through execution, editing, approval, and publishing.
• Create compelling, platform-native content, including photography, TikToks, Reels, Stories, short-form videos, graphics, and social copy.
• Produce content independently and in collaboration with internal partners, external agencies, and creators.
• Develop a consistent pipeline of fresh, engaging content that reflects Reduce’s voice, visual identity, products, and consumer.
• Participate as on-camera talent and serve as a confident, authentic ambassador for the Reduce brand.

Community and Creator Partnerships

• Own community management across brand social channels, proactively engaging followers and fans in Reduce’s voice.
• Respond to customer questions and support inquiries promptly, accurately, and professionally, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen audience relationships and build an active, engaged brand community.
• Support the development and execution of creator and influencer partnerships alongside the Director of Marketing.
• Identify creators who align with the brand and help manage outreach, product gifting, content coordination, and partnership follow-up.
• Build authentic, mutually beneficial creator relationships that increase brand awareness and generate high-quality social content.
• Coordinate, prepare, package, and handle products and samples needed for content creation, creator partnerships, and gifting initiatives.

Measurement and Optimization

• Monitor social performance and track channel- and content-level KPIs.
• Prepare executive-level quarterly reports that clearly communicate performance, insights, and opportunities.
• Use data and audience feedback to refine content, improve engagement, and inform future social strategy.
• Share relevant social, cultural, platform, and competitive insights with the broader marketing team.

SKILLS: this role requires a person who is:

• Creative: Brings fresh, original ideas to social content and can translate brand priorities into engaging, platform-native concepts.
• A Content Producer: Comfortable developing content from start to finish, including concepting, styling, photography, video capture, editing, writing, and publishing.
• Socially Fluent: Possesses a strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, social commerce, and the evolving social media landscape.
• A Strong Writer: Demonstrates excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to capture a distinctive brand voice across captions, scripts, community responses, and creator communications.
• Visually Minded: Has a strong eye for photography, video, graphics, styling, composition, and the visual expression of social content.
• Relationship-Oriented: Builds authentic relationships with creators, customers, agency partners, and internal teams.
• Community-Focused: Understands how to engage audiences, respond to customers effectively, and represent the brand thoughtfully online.
• Culturally Curious: Stays current on social behavior, cultural conversations, platform developments, trends, memes, and relevant events.
• Analytical: Uses performance data and audience insights to evaluate content and make clear recommendations.
• Comfortable on Camera: Can confidently appear in social content and serve as an authentic representative of the Reduce brand.
• Organized: Manages content calendars, production schedules, products, samples, approvals, and multiple deadlines with attention to detail.
• Collaborative: Works effectively with the marketing team, creators, agencies, and cross-functional partners.
• A Self-Starter: Takes ownership, moves projects forward independently, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Technically Capable: Experience with Dash Hudson, ShopMy, Shopify, Canva, and TikTok Shop is a plus.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, or a related field required.
• 3-5 years of experience developing social media content and managing brand social media channels.
• Demonstrated experience producing photography, short-form video, graphics, and written content for social platforms.
