The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for the installation and alignment of main and secondary equipment into vessels. This role aims to achieve minimum production time and maximum quality while fostering a positive team environment.
Candidates must have relevant trade qualifications or equivalent experience and at least 2 years of experience in the shipbuilding industry. A high school or technical training/vocational school graduation is required.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor (Mechanical), the Mechanical Fitter is responsible for working within a team to carry out the installation and alignment of main and secondary equipment into vessels, including drivelines, to achieve minimum production time and maximum quality, while maintaining a positive and motivated team environment.
